Job Description:
New Tower Opening / 17 James Medical Oncology – NIGHTS – AYA OFFER (D/N option available)
Orientation Dates: 11/17, 12/1, 12/15, 1/5, 1/12, 1/26
ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!
Staffing ratios – goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5
Weekends – variable based on unit needs
No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
*Self-schedule requests – you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
*First week of orientation is Mon – Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

• The most common diagnoses include all subtypes of the following:
• Breast Cancer
• Lung Cancer
• Prostate Cancer
• Pancreatic Cancer
• Colon Cancer
• Esophageal Cancer
• Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy
Special Procedures/Unit Details
• 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care.
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
• Cares for patients that have true med surg issues
Certifications Required
• BLS
Skills Required:
• Telemetry Interpretation
• Telemetry monitoring
Certifications Preferred
• ONS Chemo
COMPUTERIZED CHARTING
• EPIC
Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units
PREVIOUS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!
