Certification requirements: CALIFORNIA STATE CPTI-Certified Phlebotomy Technician I
Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend
The Laboratory Technician I is under the general direction of the Laboratory Manager and his/her designee(s) while performing his/her duties. Some of the Laboratory Technician I’s primary job responsibilities are but not limited to: the collection and preparation of blood samples, correct identification of patients and specimens, transportation and handling of specimens and the performance of all related clerical functions. The Laboratory Technician I processes specimens according to laboratory policy and will perform special projects when assigned.
